Walter J. Zukowski

Walter J. Zukowski founded Zukowski Law Offices in 1988, after six years as an attorney with a local firm. Prior to that he was a law clerk to Justice Howard C. Ryan of the Illinois Supreme Court.
Mr. Zukowski is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, and before the United States District Court for the 7th Circuit.
During the course of his career, Mr. Zukowski has litigated cases in state and federal courts. He has represented management in numerous types of actions.
Mr. Zukowski is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Illinois - at Springfield, with a BA in Economics. He has a Juris Doctorate and Masters Degree in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Zukowski has done post-graduate work at the London School of Economics. He has also done post-graduate work in Financial Planning.
Mr. Zukowski is a past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Education Law. Also, he was the first Chair of the Illinois Community College Attorneys Association. He lectures regularly, and has had several articles published, in this area.
Mr. Zukowski is a past Chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Trusts and Estates. He is the current Secretary of the ISBA Elder Law Section. He has been responsible for coordinating continuing education programs for Illinois attorneys in this area. He is a frequent lecturer, and has had several articles published in this area.
Mr. Zukowski is listed in "Who's Who Top Lawyers In America". Mr. Zukowski is a current member of the University of Notre Dame Graduate Business Alumni Board.
Mr. Zukowski is a past Board Member of the Illinois Valley Area Chambers of Commerce, Vice Chairman of the LaSalle County Metropolitan Exposition authority, and Campaign Chairman of the United Way of the Illinois Valley.
