Functions:
1. Oversee the campaign
2. Communicate with other committees
3. Assign a Whip to oversee a committee
4. Meet with committee chairpersons
5. Assist the committees when needed
6. Establish precincts and assign precinct captains
7. Establish a timeline
II. Public Relations Committee – Chairperson (5-6 people)
Functions:
1. Develop PR packets
A. “Sound byte” pamphlet
B. Question and Answer Sheets (keep it simple)
C. Yard Signs
2. Organize group meeting and/or speaking opportunities
3. Systematically spread the word through newspapers and radio
A. Ads in newspaper
B. Ads on radio
C. Radio talk shows
D. News stories – repeat message
E. Editorials
4. Mailings (if you have the funding) and phone calls (if possible)
5. Educate your own people
6. Counter negative propaganda
7. Serve as a pipeline to give information to upcoming group meetings
8. Publicize meetings
9. Communicate with other successful campaigns
10. Use data support
11. Establish speaker's bureau
12. Any other related duties
