I. Petition
1. Improper form.
2. Not filed within the statutory time period, i.e. within 30 days of
publication of the notice of the prospective bond referendum.
3. Not properly submitted, i.e. not bound together or not continuously
numbered.
II. To Disqualify Entire Sheet of Signatures
1. Circulator requests to have sheet
withdrawn.
2. Sheet lacks verification
3. Verification not signed under oath (Appear before Notary?)
4. Verification is signed by a non-registered voter.
5. Verification does not include the required information.
6. Verification was falsely sworn to, i.e.:
a. Signatures were not signed in the
presence of the circulator;
b. The person verifying the sheet was not the actual circulator;
c. The circulator knew that the person signing was not a registered
voter or he knew that the address given was incorrect.
III. Signatures
1. Non-registered voter at the time of
signature.
2. Non-resident of District.
3. Duplicate signature.
4. Illegible.
5. Forged.
6. Does not provide an address of the signer or does not provide the
address as shown on the signer's voter registration card.
7. Incomplete Address
a. Excused if can be determined elsewhere in petition or std.
abbreviation used.
8. Printed Signature
a. Must match voter registration card
9. Signer of petition of more than one party.
