COUNSELING AND MENTOR PROGRAM
Overview
You have the credentials and qualifications for the job. You may have even participated in a new Superintendent Orientation Program. Even so, you are not sure on how to specifically handle a few issues. Who do you turn to if you are not sure what to do or how to do it? The answer may be -- participating in a Mentoring Program.
Our office has developed a Mentoring Program to help you to be successful and confident during your first year in this new position. A recently retired Superintendent, Al Humpage, provides our support. He has over thirty years of experience in the education field. Al's background is described more fully here.
We can provide mentoring assistance in over twenty non-legal areas, as described more fully here. This covers almost all of the problems which you could encounter during your first year.
Programs
We have several programs to choose from, depending upon your needs:
(1) Phone Conference -- Our staff will speak with you twice per month to help you resolve issues while they are still small.
(2) Personal Conference -- Our staff will have one face-to-face meeting with you, at your office each month, walking you through various situations.
(3) Combination Program -- Our staff will both speak to you twice each month and also meet with you to provide the greatest level of support possible.
Also, under all of the Programs, if you District requires more services during this time we will provide that support at a reduced hourly rate.
The Mentor can either point you in the right direction or be a sounding board for your new proposal. It can make all the difference!
